A
QUEBEC-FRANCE SIGNED PARTNERSHIP FOR RFID
TECHNOLOGY
A new venture
by Traç@bilitic, the Projects Department
for Pôle Traçabilité, and Academia RFID
Centre for Excellence aims to share and
develop RFID technology knowledge in France
and in Quebec.
February 16th,
2009 - Valence, France / Montreal, QC, Canada
Montreal’s Academia
RFID Centre for Excellence which
specializes in electronic traceability (RFID)
has just signed an agreement with France’s
Traç@bilitic which will
give the latter access to all the knowledge
and teaching material developed by the centre
over the past few years.
The RFID Centre for Excellence
is composed of a number of professionals
who provide public and private organizations
with a very unique service and it offers
them advice related to the analysis, the
development, the selection, the deployment,
and the technical support related to electronic
tracing solutions. As well, the Centre’s
priority is to keep the market abreast of
all the advantages offered by RFID technology
through vendor-neutral training and certification.
Academia RFID recently organized a one-day
educational session on RFID applications
in the healthcare sector, and more than
50 participants working in that area participated
in the seminar.
Situated in Valence, Traç@bilitic
is the Projects Department of Pôle
Traçabilité and its objective is
to guide companies who are in the process
of implementing a traceability technology,
and offer technical training, notably in
RFID, all the while overseeing the educational
work, research, development, and standardization
of RFID solutions throughout Europe. “We
are noticing an ever increasing interest
in that sector. In fact, at the request
of public authorities, we are engaged in
general interest undertakings aimed at promoting
the development of technologies associated
with material traceability by examining
the various methods to be adopted in the
area of health, in the field of agriculture,
or in the automobile industry in France.
Partnering with Academia RFID gives a unique
international dimension to the training
programs we offer our members, partners,
and customers because they have earned an
excellent reputation over the past few years
thanks to its outstanding expertise in the
field,” said Jean-Marc Morlet, President
of Traç@bilitic.
Mr. André Lacaille, Vice-President
of Academia RFID Centre for Excellence concludes:
“We are very honored that Traç@bilitic has
chosen a company from Quebec to provide
it with the necessary guidance and knowledge.
This underlines the level of expertise we’ve
been able to attain. This partnership will
allow us to be fully aware of all the analytical
and developmental work taking place in Europe,
as well as all the implementations. This
association not only confirms our international
profile and the enormous importance of the
technology, but it also highlights the relevance
of our Centre for Excellence in RFID technology
in Quebec.
