RFID’s TESTeam supports 2nd deployment
of new RFID system at Apollo Agency and
Loft Le 4ème.

Following the successful November deployment of their new RFID event-welcoming system, Montreal’s Apollo Agency took the idea a few steps down this month. Literally. The RFID system is now installed in the street-level entrance of their 4th storey walk-up, Loft Le 4ème.
Last Thursday, guests
arriving for the 1 year anniversary of celebrity
blogger Marc Andrew’s website launch (www.marcandrew.ca)
were greeted by a doorman offering them
the event’s welcome card embedded with a
UHF RFID tag which they were encouraged
to wave over the railing’s Impinj mini guardrail.
The RFID read triggered a video of Marc
Andrew (one of twenty different videos in
the database) that was projected half a
flight of stairs up; welcoming them and
teasing them about the amount stairs left
to climb (68 in total).
The RFID system was powered by the ERM (Effecto RFID Middleware), an Impinj Speedway Revolution Reader, a Mini Guardrail Near-Field Antenna, UPM RFID tags provided by Lebelad and hooked up to a projector and amplified speakers.
The system is now permanently installed for all future Apollo Agency Events.
